Description:
Shoes and boots designers come up with creative and sensible designs for shoes or boots and other footwear. The footwear market ranges from catwalk and High Street fashion shoes, to running shoes including football footwear and training shoes and boots./nThe task may involve:/nworking with other creative designers on designs and tastes
building rough design blueprints manually or making use of a PC
looking at ideas at fashion shows and functions
making sample footwear to show their ideas
conducting quality checks and overseeing production.
Shoe designers generally work Mon to Friday, 9am to 5pm/nFootwear designers need:/nan imaginative eye as well as a flair for colouring, texture and designs
knowledge of foot structure
good illustrating talent and CAD skills
exceptional communication skills
an interest in design and style, design and textiles.
